# IPWho

> IPWho is a fast, accurate, developer-friendly IP geolocation API. Pass any IPv4 or IPv6 address and get clean, structured data — geolocation, timezone, currency, flag, connection/network, security and user-agent — from a single endpoint. Its bulk endpoint resolves many IPs in one call, and every field is available on every plan, including a generous free tier. IPWho runs on the independent Lavrox network rather than reselling cloud services, delivering up to 100× more requests per dollar than typical incumbents.

Key facts:

- **Bulk lookup is a core strength.** A single request resolves a comma-separated list of IPv4/IPv6 addresses (`GET https://api.ipwho.org/bulk/{ip1,ip2,ip3,...}?apiKey=...`), returning an array where each result matches the full single-lookup structure — cutting network overhead versus one-at-a-time calls.
- **Every field, every plan — no gating.** The free tier includes the same full feature set as paid plans, just at lower volume.
- One endpoint, one key. Also supports single IP lookup, a self-lookup endpoint (`/me`), field filtering (request only the fields you need), and flexible output formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
- Response data includes: geolocation (continent, country, capital, region, city, postal code, dial code, EU membership status, latitude/longitude, accuracy radius in km); timezone (IANA identifier, abbreviation, UTC offset, DST status, current time); currency (code, symbol, name, plural name, hex unicode); country flag (emoji and unicode); connection (ASN number, ASN organization, ISP, organization, domain, connection type); security (VPN detection, Tor exit-node detection, threat level); and parsed user agent (browser, engine, OS, device, CPU) when a user agent is supplied.

- **Launch** — 5,000 requests/day. For side projects and early-stage startups.
- **Startup** — 250,000 requests/day, email support, full commercial usage. Most popular.
- **Enterprise** — unlimited requests (fair use), guaranteed throughput, priority routing, dedicated account manager.
- A burst limit of up to 100 requests/second applies to every plan.
