IP Geolocation API for Healthcare & Wellness
Honour licensing by region, protect patient portals, and route to in-region care — from a single lookup.
Healthcare is bound by where a patient is — licensing, data geography, and provider networks all depend on it. One IP lookup supplies the region, network, and risk context behind those decisions. Below is what healthcare teams do with it.

How does IP geolocation help telehealth licensing?
Telehealth is often licensed per state or region. The region and country fields let you match a patient to a provider licensed where they actually are, or trigger the right verification when the location is out of area. See the compliance use-case page for the pattern.
Is it appropriate for patient data and privacy?
It infers coarse location from the network address without a permission prompt or device identifier, and the is_in_eu flag helps apply data-geography rules. Treat it as one control alongside your health-data governance and authentication — not a replacement for them.
Can it protect patient portals?
Yes. Flagging datacentre origins, VPN/Tor access, and impossible-travel logins gives portal security useful signals to trigger step-up verification before granting access. The account-security page has worked examples.
