Use case

IP Geolocation API for Data Enrichment & Market Analytics

Turn bare IPs into geography, network, and market context — for analytics, lead enrichment, and reporting.

Every log line and lead already carries an IP — most teams just throw the context away. One lookup turns it into country, region, city, timezone, and network detail, so your analytics, lead scoring, and reporting speak in markets and regions, not raw addresses.

Who uses it

The teams that lean on this most, in rough order of how often we see it.

The signals it uses

Every one ships in the standard response — no add-ons, no tiers.

country / region / city Geo-tag records for analytics and reporting
connection (ASN / org / type) Firmographic and network context on leads
is_in_eu Segment EU vs non-EU markets
timezone Local-time analysis of activity
latitude / longitude Map-level aggregation and heatmaps

How different teams put it to work

The same lookup, applied to how each team enriches and reports.

Common questions

What can I enrich my data with from one IP?

A single lookup returns country, region, city, latitude/longitude, timezone, EU status, and the connection block (ASN, organisation, ISP, network type). That's enough to geo-tag records, add firmographic/network context to leads, and build market and audience analytics without any extra data source.

Is there an efficient way to enrich large datasets?

Yes. Use the bulk endpoint to backfill or batch-enrich many IPs at once rather than calling per record, and cache results for repeat IPs. That keeps enrichment fast and well within plan limits even for large event streams.

How accurate is the location for analytics?

Country-level accuracy is very high and ideal for market and regional analytics. City and region can be null or approximate for some IPs, so aggregate at the level your analysis needs — country and region are the most dependable for reporting.
